A Big Relief!

What do we do here at Jacas Family Dental? Simply put, we remain one of the most popular dental offices in the Sunrise, FL area because of our approach to patients.

In reality, it's not hard. If you are a professional and experienced dentist, if you have the right staffing and the right office resources, there's no reason that your office can't be one of the top go-to places for local families. But this doesn't always happen for a dental practice.

We would say that's because many of these offices don't put the right work into developing patient relationships.

We've seen this time and again over the years – people come in having had a bad experience elsewhere. What's it about? It's usually about a lack of attention and a lack of care…

Time Management

One of the worst things you can do as a dental office is sit people in chairs, and keep them waiting forever to get into the exam room.

Many people are afraid of going to the dentist, and the waiting just amps up their anxiety to the point where they have nightmares about returning. So something as simple as managing a patient's time well can make them dramatically more comfortable!

Cheerfulness and Welcome

Here's another very important aspect of running a dental office.

Because of their anxiety, because of their lack of agency and the trust they have to put in the staff, patients are looking to the dentist and hygienist and the other staff members to set the emotional tone of the dentist visit.

So when the dentist and the staff are happy and cheerful and welcoming, the patient breathes easy. He or she relaxes, and that's evident in the patient's manner and how they interact with anyone in the office.

When the dentist and staff seem tense or nervous or brusque, or even worse, start criticizing the patient, that very important and valuable bond is broken, and the patient starts to feel a sense of dread and negativity.

Giving Help

Then there's the essential practice of actually getting the dental work done.

People come in for cavities, root canals, fixing crowns, extractions – things that actually do take work and professionalism to do efficiently.

When hygienists, dentists and others are fiddling around with tools, seeming unsure or taking forever to do the work, the anxiety starts to creep in again.

This isn't just something that happens once in a blue moon. The average person is uncomfortable if they go to the dentist and don't get treated well. Because we see patients day in and day out, we know this. When you look at our testimonials, you see that much of the reason people call us the best dentist around is that they feel comfortable in the chair, and confident that they're going to get the care that they truly need.
