Complete dentures are an option for replacing all of the teeth in the upper jaw, lower jaw, or the patient’s entire mouth. Complete dentures rest on the gums and are supported by the underlying bone. To maintain a secure and comfortable fit, complete dentures may need to be refitted every few years.
A partial denture is a removable prosthesis used to replace several missing teeth. The denture rests on the gums and is supported by clasps that attach to remaining teeth.
